Love Monsters
This project has two parts. The first part of the project is focus on warm/cool colors, organic shapes, and storytelling. Curriculum Objectives:

Humpty Dumpty Egg Sculpture
Students look at a public sculpture at downtown Champaign --- Mr. Eggwards. Then students learn what is sculpture, how to look at and interact with public sculptures. Students learn Todd Parr's This is My Hair, and make their own Humpty Dumpty Egg Sculptures to reflect their identities. Curriculum Objectives:

Chinese paper-cutting for spring
In this project, students learn a traditional form of Chinese folk art --- Jian Zhi (Paper-cutting). Students learn the history and categories of Jian Zhi Art, as well as three different techniques of cutting papers to make window flowers. |
